Clare Lethlean
Director
Clare Lethlean is a highly experienced lawyer, mediator and governance professional with over 30 years’ experience across legal, regulatory and board roles. She is currently a Member of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). She has held senior legal and governance positions within both the government and private sectors, including as Director of Litigation and Dispute Resolution (COVID-19 Legal) at the Department of Health, Consultant in Dispute Resolution at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, and Legal Counsel and Privacy Officer at McGrathNicol.
Clare’s career spans leadership in dispute resolution, administrative law, privacy, and professional regulation, supported by earlier roles as Senior Associate at Minter Ellison and Team Leader at the United Nations Compensation Commission. She is an Accredited Mediator and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holding degrees in Law and Economics from Monash University.
A committed advocate for good governance and public accountability, Clare has served on numerous boards and committees, including Sacré Cœur School (Director, Risk Committee Chair and Finance Committee Member), the Companies Auditors Disciplinary Board (Deputy Chairperson), and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Conduct and Performance Panel Chair). She has also contributed to university, disability, and health service boards throughout her career.
